Whether we consume K1 or K2, their utilized portions are converted to K2 MK-4 to the same extent. For our tissues only K1 and K2 MK-4 are useful, and each has its own ideal vitamin K ratio (MK-4/K1). Since K2 cannot be converted into K1, an excessive dose of K2 can upset the ratio, whereas K1 cannot.

Today's diet means a manifold intake of K2, while the intake of K1, found in algae and vegetables consumed since ancient times, has been decimated. Unless inhibited by certain medications, taking vitamin K1 is an effective and economical way to raise our K2 level while also maintaining the ideal tissue ratio.

Recommended dosage: 2 drops daily, dripped onto a teaspoon or mixed into food. If you have the opportunity, take the product with your least low-fat meals, splitting the 1-1 drops even between two separate meals. Do not mix into liquid!
